Semi-Automatic Machine for Preparing and Applying Tapes on Mattress Covers

The machine consists of two sewing groups, an upper and a lower, which are synchronized with each other.
In the upper group, which is fully automatic, a strip of fabric is loaded from a roll and guided through photo cells to the sewing head with constant tension, where elastic material is applied using a special feeder with adjustable tension. The upper group varies depending on the model used:

The elastic material is simply applied to the strip using an overlock stitch.
MODEL R396H
The elastic band is inserted into the hem and normally sewn with a 3-needle sewing head using a cover stitch. The type of hem and sewing head can be customized based on the customer's requirements.
Special rollers move the fabric strip to the second sewing group.
In the lower sewing group, the strip is manually placed onto the flat part of the mattress cover.
At the end of the cycle, the operator can use the lower sewing head to perform cross-stitching on the strip, completing the mattress cover with this single machine.
The machine is equipped with fabric presence control and thread break detection.
The entire system is controlled by a PLC, and its programming through the touchscreen is simple and intuitive.
