OPTISCOUT
OptiScout is an advanced modular software designed for optical recognition and precise cutting control on industrial flatbed cutters. Thanks to camera technology and high-quality sensors, the software enables automatic detection of registration marks (video marks), compensation for printing deviations, and the elimination of waste caused by non-linear printing. OptiScout supports various production modes – manual placement of pieces, tandem mode, roll unwinding, repeated output (“multi‑copy”), or feeder loading – allowing flexible setup according to production line requirements. The software is compatible with multiple cameras, including third-party models, which expands integration possibilities. Using intelligent image analysis, OptiScout can automatically determine the diameter, shift, and distortion of the registered mark – the algorithm then adjusts the cutting path to ensure maximum accuracy of the final pieces. The software also supports task repetition with the same parameters, simplifying repetitive series production. Additional features include edge and corner recognition, detection of double lines (e.g., in laser welding), and non-scaled output. OptiScout is designed for industrial cutters – such as Zünd – and enables contour-accurate cutting of printed materials, whether for cutting, milling, or engraving. Another advantage is enhanced integration with RIP systems (print management software), allowing the import of data from graphic applications and optimal layer output distribution. By using OptiScout, waste is significantly reduced, productivity is increased, and industrial cutting precision is improved – which is critical in modern production lines.
